Wedding Wishes

Okay - so I totally spaced and was supposed to get this one up a couple days ago - but better late than never - right?!?  I did this card for a couple challenges - the Verve challenge over at SCS for the week 4 February challenge and Paper Sundaes (masculine colors).  I think it would make a great fall wedding card - especially if brown is the main color.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks a bunch

Just a quick post to share with you a card I did for the Cards Magazine Challenge blog.  This weeks challenge was thank you cards - I think everyone can always use more of those - I know I never have them on hand when I need them!  I kept it simple to let the beautiful flowers from Verve shine. After stamping, I watercolored them with Tumbled Glass Distress ink (definitely my favorite DI color!) and then used Smooch in Pool and Moonlight to add a little shimmer to them. Very striking IRL, it is not coming through in the picture.

Thanks for Stopping by!

One of a kind

Hello all! Well - I have gotten in some crafty time this weekend and put this together for the Get Sketchy challenge, Embellish challenge and the Cards Magazine challenge. The handmade flowers were easy-peasy to do - I punched out about 6 pieces of lighter weight paper  with a scalloped hole punch, punched a hole in the center and inserted a brad. After the brad was in, I scrunched up each layer - Easy and cute.  I came across a couple tutorials showing this technique one day as I was surfing the blogs and don't remember where I had saw them.

I also wanted to share this card done for the Verve Anni-verve-sary Release Week Challenges. Go check out the SCS forum, Julee has posted 5 sketches to play along with for a chance to win some Verve-y goodness.  I used Maureen's Wild Card Color Challange as my colors - I have been wanting to play along with some of the color combos.  I figured this would be the perfect time seeing as she is the Guest Diva for August!

Thanks for stopping by!

Blossom Mojo Style

Hello All - Happy Hump Day! Half way through to the weekend WoooHooo!!!

I Love this Basic Grey paper I used for the background and have been itching to use it since I got it.  I have been trying to be better about actually USING the stuff I get instead of putting it away for that "special" project.  No sense in getting if if you aren't going to use right?!?

I used the Mojo Monday sketch from Verve and the colors from ColourQ.

Thanks for stopping by!

Anni-Verve-sary Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop! Verve turns three today and we’re celebrating with a hop, hop, hop! If you've already been hopping along, you arrived here from Teresa’s blog. If not, head on over to Julee's Blog (owner of Verve), for all the info on how to win prizes (after all, what's a party without presents?), and to start hopping from the beginning. If there's a hiccup along the hop, you can always head to the Master Hop List to get the full list of links.

I made this anniversary card using Verve’s Budding Blossoms and the sentiment from Anniversary Birds (and Verve’s colors!).  I love the fact that the Budding Blossoms set is sooo versatile! I colored in the flower using my prismacolor pencils (my favorite!) inked around the edges of the Spellbinders label – that has been a favorite technique of mine lately!
I used the sketch from the SCS Verve challenge – I thought that would be appropriate :) As we are working our way around the house this year for inspiration (master bedrooms this month) Amber was nice enough to open up the inspira4231813588180Ption a little further to an entire web site.  Good thing – I saw this paper and knew  I wanted to use it for this blog hop! Here is my inspiration from Bed, Bath and Beyond.

Thanks for hopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to Ramona's blog, for a little more Verve-y goodness.

French Flowers

DSC02164Hello everyone! Today I am sharing the card I did for the Verve Challenge over at SCS and for the French Provencal challenge over at the Play Date Cafe.  This month for the Verve challenge we are strolling through bathrooms and Amber found some great inspiration pics – you can always count on Amber to find some great stuff out there!  As I was putting the card together – I must of had the PDC challenge in my mind – it was striking me as very French with the colors and textures – I love when challenges come together so easy!
Come and join me on Monday – it is my Growing in Unity week!  I will be posting a project featuring Unity/{ippity} stamps every day through Friday.  Everyone who stops by and leaves some love every day will be entered to win some Unity Rubber – so it really is a good idea to stop by!  I look forward to seeing everyone this week!
Thanks for looking and leaving some love – I always appreciate everyone's kind words!

Two Hearts

I have been in a crafting frenzy the past couple days! I guess my mojo finally decided to come visit for a while - yeah!  I finally got my card for the week 1 Verve challenge over at SCS done, it is also for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge.  I am loving the inspiration photos that Amber is posting - this week I chose  this photo - what a super cute room!
I used my brandy new - just opened - smelling yummy Verve stamps "Budding Blossoms" I am still in shock at how fast they get the goodies out!  I also used the sentiment from Verve's "Anniversary Birdies" set.   Thanks for looking!

Heart Song

Ok - Finished the Verve Week 3 Challenge - not really sure if I am loving the final result.  It isn't matching what I saw in my head.  Don't you hate when that happens - sometimes the result is better - and that feels great - but sometimes.....  Oh well - I may revisit sometime this week but for the meantime.
For this one I chose the green living room as my muse.  All the stamps are Verve - I desperately need to expand my collection! Where is the lottery winnings when you need them ;-) Thanks for looking!
